Who We Are

Our story is rooted in Disciple Community Church, a Korean-Immigrant PCA church planted by Reverend Hyun Jong Ko in 2009. Although culture, generations, and language might separate us, we long to be one church rooted in the gospel. We honor the model of sacrifice, suffering, and prayer of the Korean church and long to continue the legacy as one family united in Christ Jesus. We honor the past, but work towards the future.

Why are we called Ordinary?

“Ordinary” is one of the loneliest words in our vocabulary today.
Michael Horton

The world may pursue after greatness and success, but God’s extraordinary hand shows in the daring lives of those who choose to be faithful in the Ordinary. To live life in a manner that is obedient to the calling to know and to serve God may look unremarkable to the world, but longevity of faithfulness is nothing to sneer at. There’s something quieting and awe-inspiring about an endless albeit small ember compared to the melancholy following a sharp but short flash in the pan. That’s the type of faith we are pursuing in our lives.
